Ocean-Inspired Bathroom Renovation

This bathroom was designed as an atmospheric space shaped by light, reflection, and material. Inspired by the clients’ connection to the ocean, the design focuses on creating a calm, immersive experience from the moment one enters.

A layered lighting strategy defines the room. Concealed LED lighting, a softly backlit mirror, and hand-blown glass pendant lights work together to produce shifting reflections that evoke the movement of water. The glossy aquamarine tile wrapping the main wall enhances this effect, allowing light to flow across the surface throughout the day.

Warm, sand-toned floor tiles and natural wood finishes introduce balance and softness, grounding the space while preserving a sense of tranquility. The result is a bathroom that feels serene, luminous, and deeply connected to the sensory qualities of water and light.
